Chess made another appearance in a comic back in 2010 for ti-ger.org, the sister site of stutteringiscool.com. This comic was inspired by a story a friend told me about a guy he knew in the United Kingdom who would use his stuttering to is advantage when approaching women in pubs.

He’d simply say he was taking speech therapy (which was true) and wanted to practice his speech tools (also true). From what I remember, he was never turned down and he met a ton of women. Clever use of stuttering!

Of course, this technique also works for women. And really, in any social situation.
