Episode 36
It’s hard living with a stutter. Even harder that stuttering isn’t understood. Today’s episode focuses on 2 of the many downsides of stuttering. First, I give a little bit of a rant about the perception that people who don’t stutter seem to have about people who do stutter. Despite what we tell them. In the second half, I talk about something that’s been going on stutterwise with me lately. I’m just too tired to talk. What is causing this and most importantly of all, how can I prevent it?
This is an open-mic podcast. I encourage you to record some audio of yourself and email it to me at coolstutter@gmail.com.
I'll play it on my next episode!
This way, we all hear each other stutter and feel less alone with our speech impediment!

.Thanks for this podcast. Becoming too tired to talk is something i feel and experience every now and then.Currently, i am a master student in chemistry and i am a graduate teaching assistant.Being a graduate teaching assistant is really tough if you stutter and it doesn’t give you the luxurious option of “not to talk”

January 13th, 2009 at 04:34Do you think people who have neurogenic stutter and got their stutter as a result of physical trauma, do they experience the same struggle and anxiety when they stutter? sometimes i think if m stutter was as a result of physical trauma i would be much more accepting to it and would never have negative emotional package like i do now…
That’s a very thoughtful question. I have no idea on the answer except perhaps they’d have a slightly different emotional package than us who who born with stuttering.
