People go to a book reading, not to hear the author read, but to get to know the author. You know, he's got a point! It's like reading interviews. We don't want a recap of what we'll read in the book, we want something more, something those who only read the book won't get.

Pam, I'm a storyteller. The first time you go, listen. Without listeners, there are no tellers. I find those that tell their first time rarely return, but those that go to listen a few times first are hooked. Several of my favourite tellers stutter.

I have been invited to join a story circle in September and look forward to it immensely. I am a littel nervous about it, as not sure if I will be brave enough tocontribute, but am looking for the spirituality of the art of storytelling. I will let you know how it goes.
