Episode #110: On this episode, my friend Saba Worku shares with us her speech about what it feels like to stutter. Saba gives quite an empowering message so be prepared to feel uplifted and, well, empowered! Quite fitting for this week being National Stuttering Awareness Week.

Trying to explain how it feels like to stutter can be quite complex at times. What I like about Saba’s speech is how she was able to sum up our experiences so simply and in a few words. And so powerfully. I’m glad she touched on the topic of the judgement of others and switching words because both can be a very big thing. Particularly when you’re growing up.

How do you deal with keeping your head high as you stutter while ignoring the natural human tendency to mind what others may think? Share your thoughts in the comment are below and I’ll include them in my next episode. Or better still, record a sound file (any audio format will do) of your thoughts and email them to me at coolstutter@gmail.com. I’ll play it on the next episode!

Music played on this episode: Future Cha Cha by Kevin MacLeod.
